With many rainy spring days ahead, we thought it would be a great idea to share with you some activities to do with your kids while stuck indoors. Just a few weeks ago, we were able to upgrade Cindy, a mother with toddlers, with a brand new laminator! She frequently does craft projects with her kids and even laminates many educational tools, so we thought it best to provide her with the Swingline Fusion 3000L Laminator.
Cindy explained, “Living in a condo with a sleeping baby, I try to keep noise at a minimum, so when I turned this on it was great that it was much softer than its competitor.” Cindy also raved about the fast warm-up time, taking only 1.5 minutes to reach full temperature, as well as the auto feed feature that allowed her to prep the next pouch she wanted to insert as the prior pouch was laminating.
In the spirit of crafting, Cindy shared with us three different creations she has used her new 3000L laminator to complete. Easy and simple, and something fun that you too can do at home!
1. Color Matching: Using paint samples from her local hardware store, Cindy cut different colors into small squares and then laminated and trimmed them to a smaller size. She then took an empty ice tray and placed the newly laminated color squares down one row and had her child match up the colors on the other side.
2. Playdough Mats: Pinterest is an avenue frequently utilized by many, Cindy being one of them. She turned to the site in search of some fun templates and upon finding one that fit her needs, she printed it off for use. Using our lamination pouches with alignment lines, she placed her template in the pouch and quickly laminated it into a reusable mat for her kids to create any masterpiece their mind can think up.
3. Number Flashcards: Using flashcard templates, also found on Pinterest, Cindy printed them out and was able to quickly create flashcards that are ready for any mess her little ones could throw at them while working on their math skills.
With our assortment of different pouch shapes and sizes, it’s easy to customize your own creations! You can check out our template site here and see some of the pre-made templates that we have available for use!
